Channels / Appearance
In the Channels section you can customise your Tidio widget to your preference. You'll also be able to manage your integration with Messenger and email mailboxes. Here you can edit the Widget, Sidebar, or Chat On Site page and create a unique chat to perfectly match your website.

Next, you can edit the PopUp section to match your website. A preview will be available on the right to, so that you can see the changes in real time.
Background color - Changes the color of your chat window. Choose from a selection of preset colors or create your own (the last option with a little paintbrush).
Name - Choose the name of your chat, it will display to your visitors on top of the chat widget. Most of our users set their company name in the name field (the operator's name can be set in the operator profile).
Avatar - You can set up the company logo here. If you have just one operator - you might want to set a big operator profile picture there.
Online Status - The text that displays when your chat is online.
Widget position - Select the location of your chat button. You can select between the left and right corner of your screen.
Style - Define the size of the Modern theme widget. You can choose a full-size widget or a small circle button for more minimalist websites.
Display - Allows you to decide whether your chat will appear on desktops, mobile devices, or both. You can also hide the chat on specific pages, e.g. when you want to hide the chat on your home page or "About us" page, etc.
In the preview section on the right you can check what the chat will look like in different situations, e.g. when you are offline:
The mobile widget settings allow you to customise your chat button on mobile devices. Switch to Mobile in the preview to have a peek at it.
The button text on mobile is 15 characters long.
Here you can set up the offline form which will appear for your visitors when you are away. Set an autoresponder to automatically answer your customers.
Below the Offline Form section you will find the Pre-Chat Survey. Here you can create a survey which will ask your visitor for their name, email, or other data before they even begin a conversation with you. This information will then be saved for you in the panel to use during a chat.
The Multilanguage feature allows you to display the chat widget in more languages. On top of that, you can edit each phrase of the translation and customise it to your needs. To learn more about the Multilanguage section, check out this article: Multilanguage.
Set up your chat to appear as a sidebar on the left or right border of your website. Once a user clicks the sidebar, the standard chat widget at the bottom will appear.
Here you can configure your integration with Messenger. To authorise, simply log in with your Facebook credentials.
Configure the integration with your email account to receive and send emails through Tidio Chat. This will let you keep all your communication with clients in one place. To learn more about this, check out this article.
Chat on Site:
You can also link your chat to a button on your page and have it appear in a new window when clicked by a user. A Chat Page URL is available at the bottom of the section - copy and link it to a button on your website.
