Customizing your chat widget

If you would like to customize your chat widget, simply go to the Channels section in your chat admin panel.

First, decide whether you would like to edit the Widget, Sidebar or Chat Page.


Select the theme of your chat widget.

Next, you can edit the 'Widget Settings' section to customize what the chat button will look like on your site. A chat preview will be available on the right, so that you can see the changes in real-time.

The 'Display' option allows you to decide whether your chat will appear on desktops, mobile devices, or both.

In the following section, you can add a pre-chat survey for your visitors to complete before starting a chat.


Set up your chat to appear as a sidebar on the left or right side of your website. Once a user clicks on the sidebar, the chat widget will appear.

Chat Page:

You can also link your chat to a button on your page and have it appear in a new window when clicked by a user. Under 'Integration,' a Chat Page URL is available at the bottom - you can use that for link buttons on your website.
