Multilanguage settings are great for websites that serve more than one language. Our software recognizes the visitor’s browser locale and will display the chat in the appropriate language.
In the Multilanguage section, you can add a new language and/or translate it to suit your needs. There are twenty one pre-translated languages (including French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, English and more). If you want to add a new language, let's say "Dutch", open the dropdown menu, select the language and click on the "Add' button.
Multilanguage is available in the Channels section:
You can simply choose a desired language from the list and click "Add".
If it's not pre-translated or if you want to customize each phrase individually, simply click on the link below the dropdown list:
You will be taken to a separate menu, allowing you to add languages to the list and edit the phrases. Choose "Add" or edit one of the already present languages.
Each language is added as a tab (e.g. Dutch), click on it and the list of all phrases will be displayed. Now all you need to do is to edit the fields to your desired phrases and click on blue "Save" button (on the very bottom of the page).
Please note that the free, Basic account has only one language installed. With Tidio Chat PRO and Premium you can have as many different languages as you want.
Please note that the feature picks up a default language based on a visitor's browser settings. If you would like to test it on your site properly, make sure to change your browser’s language first.
